About

When you put four edges around some facts, you change those facts.
~ Gary Winogrand

I studied Fine Arts at the University of Alberta from 1991-96, specializing in painting a ceramic figurative sculpture. I spent a couple of years working at Indigo Print and Paperworks as a staff member and then as a manager. There I made handmade paper and learned bookbinding and taught courses. I spent two years at Grant MacEwan College studying Visual Communications with a major in new media. My first career job, and where I still work, was at Athabasca University. I design course materials: books and websites. I continue to paint and pursue art projects. In 2004 I fell ardently in love with photography and have been following the muse and refining my craft ever since. I strive to tell human stories through my work.

This site is about arts and culture, my work and my thoughts about the work of others, as well as a bit of jumble of other topics…
